This 7 day
tour is the perfect introduction to Romantic France, first we visit the
North of the country, before travelling south along the Loire valley before
arriving at one of the cultural capitals of Europe, Paris. On this tour you
will have two nights stay in Paris to sample the nightlife.
DAY
1 - NORMANDY
Depart from our continental coach tour departure point in Calais or from your optional local UK pick-up point and travel through the north of France. Stop in the historical
town of Rouen with the fantastic cathedral and romantic old town before we continue to the picturesque fishing town of Honfleur and further on along the coast of flowers
to our hotel in the Caen region.
DAY 2 - CAEN - NORMANDY BEACHES AND BRITTANY
Discover Caen, centre of Normandy since the days of William the Conqueror, enjoy the French lifestyle and join us on our optional excursion to the “Highlights of Normandy” including the Normandy landing beaches near Arromanches.
DAY 3 - RENNES - BRITTANY - ST. MALO
Travel to the capital of Brittany and join us on an optional tour to the coast with the famous pirate town of St. Malo before we continue to the Loire valley where we check into our hotel in the Tours area.
DAY 4 - TOURS - LOIRE VALLEY
Discover the city where Richard the Lionheart is buried and join our optional excursion to the highlights of the Loire valley, the garden of France,where the French kings have built some of the most amazing chateaux. Visit chateaux Amboise and Aizay le Ridean and enjoy some of the lovely wine of the area.
DAY
5 - BLOIS - LOIRE CASTLES
Travel through the Loire valley to Blois and relax in this lovely French town or join us on a tour of some of the most picturesque chateaux in the Loire valley. Then off to Chambord and Cheverny before we continue to Orleans and then on to Paris.
DAY 6 - PARIS - PARIS BY NIGHT
Discover Paris on your own or join us on a 'Grand City Tour' including the most famous sights such as Champs Elysee,Arc de Triumph, Place de la Concorde, Opera, etc.
In the afternoon you might want to go shopping or visit the Palace of Versailles. In the evening you can join the optional 'Paris by night' tour.
DAY
7 - RETURN TO CALAIS AND UK
Today it is time to leave Paris and travel back to Calais and further on to the UK pick-up points.
